Gladys Acosta

Founder & CEO

Meet the Founder & CEO of Younique Centre of Beauty

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Gladys embarked on a transformative journey to Canada in 2009, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the aesthetics industry. Prior to her move, she successfully managed multiple businesses, honing her entrepreneurial skills and developing a keen eye for detail and excellence in client service.

Upon arriving in Canada, Gladys faced the challenge of a language barrier, as Spanish is her mother tongue. Undeterred, she dedicated herself to overcoming this obstacle, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and adaptability. This determination was instrumental in her successful pursuit of a diploma in advanced aesthetics from PEBEC in 2013.

Gladys is certified in a range of advanced aesthetic treatments, including Laser Hair Removal, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy, Microneedling, and Radio Frequency Treatments. This extensive certification allows her to offer diverse cutting-edge services tailored to her client's unique needs.

In recognition of her dedication and excellence, Gladys was honoured with the "Best Facial Spa" award by the Canadian Choice Awards in 2024 and a finalist for "Best Spa Award 2025". This accolade highlights her exceptional ability to provide transformative and personalized skincare experiences.

With a robust background in business and a solid educational foundation in aesthetics, Gladys has become a respected professional in her field. Gladys continues to deliver exceptional service, combining technical expertise with a genuine understanding of her clients' needs and aspirations.


Stephanie

Administration Officer

Stephanie serves as a vital Administration Officer at Younique Centre of Beauty, where she plays a key role as the owner's right-hand person. With a multifaceted skill set, Stephanie adeptly handles negotiations with other retailers, plans and executes business events, manages logistics, and oversees training for new hires, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the company.

In addition to her administrative duties, Stephanie is currently pursuing a certificate in Laser Hair Removal, reflecting her commitment to expanding her expertise in the aesthetics industry. This ongoing education complements her professional role and enhances her understanding of the field.

Outside of her responsibilities at Younique Centre of Beauty, Stephanie is dedicated to advancing her academic career. She is actively pursuing a Bachelor of Honors in Medical Science degree at St. Catharines, balancing her academic pursuits with her professional responsibilities.

She is also deeply engaged in her community, serving as Vice President for the BIPOC Women in STEM and the Organization of Latin American Students, where she contributes to initiatives supporting diversity and inclusion in education and professional fields.

Stephanie's diverse experience, combined with her commitment to both professional development and community engagement, makes her a dynamic and invaluable asset to Younique Centre of Beauty and beyond.


Linda

Certified Aesthetician

Linda is a certified aesthetician at Younique, specializing in rejuvenating facials, body treatments, and a variety of self-care services. Born in Canada to Brazilian parents, Linda adds to our warm, multicultural touch at Younique.

A part-time nursing student at Fanshawe College, Linda embodies the belief that "knowledge is power." Her passion for learning keeps her inspired, with a personal goal to master five languages someday. Linda expresses that working at Younique has been a fascinating experience; the aesthetics industry is always growing, and she continues to learn new and rewarding things every day. She enjoys meeting and bonding with clients - both new and regular. Whether she's helping clients feel their best or pursuing her studies, Linda’s dedication to growth and care shines through in everything she does.
